Steve Santarsiero D-31 PA Assembly District won every Precinct in Lower Makefield Township (LMT) in Bucks County where he resides and started out his political career with the LMT Board of Supervisors (BOS). He won Precincts that no Democrat has ever won before. He had more votes in some Precincts,he won more votes than any Democrat on the ticket, including President Obama. He has a 100 % rating from the Sierra Club and the League of Conservation Voters (LCV) During his tenure at the Board of Supervisors, LMT won the "Cool Cities" Award, the only suburban municipality in the nation to receive that award from the Sierra Club. And, despite the Republicans taking over the LMT BOS, the citizens of the LMT, through the LMT Environmental Advisory Council (EAC)we are not resting on our laurels.

To all the candidates who won congratulations.
It is important that we realize the water contamination many citizens are dealing with is a VERY SERIOUS issue. Much of the damage to wells is irreversible. No one is taking the responsibility to help them. In my opinion this is the most important resource we have, more precious than natural gas. If we continue to allow them to keep drilling without FIRST correcting the problems they are having it could be too late. Already we have HUNDREDS of families that can't even bath in the water coming out of their taps. I would appreciate everyone thinking about this every time they go to the sink. In winter water buffaloes are expensive to heat so they don't freeze. We must call for a stop of any new permits and correct the situation before it's too late. I believe that where major contamination is occurring it must be STOPPED before it gets worse and I will repeat myself by saying once again "BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE"
